How to Make the Ring Cutting Activity Using Olympic Colors Activity

You are going to see some steps to make the rings. This is a fun craft for kids of different ages.

Fold the 5 Colors of Paper

You start by folding the paper in half. They folded the blue, yellow, black, green, and red paper. If you have younger kids you might want to have the paper already folded.

Tracing the Ring

You start by placing the ring pattern on the paper. You match up the fold on the paper. You can see below how to place the ring.

Then you trace the ring on the paper. If they are having trouble keeping the ring tracer in pace you can place a little glue on it.

Cutting the Ring

You start by cutting the outside of the ring first. You hold it in the middle of the ring and cut it. You can see how they are holding the paper. This keeps fingers out of the way of cutting.

Then you cut the inner part of the ring. You hold in the center again and cut the next part of the ring.

Gluing the Ring on the White Paper

Finally, you glue the rings on the paper. The ring colors go blue top, yellow below, black top, green below, and red on top.

You may find it easier to put the glue on the paper and then place the rings. You can have older kids overlap the rings and younger kids just have them glue it on the paper in the order for top and bottom.
