It's almost time to celebrate the 4th of July, so I thought I would try to get into the patriotic spirit!
Much to my husband's dismay, I have had 6 pallets sitting on the side of my house for the past month. I just didn't know what to do with them. A few months ago, I made this Puppet Theater from a Pallet. It was so much fun to make, and my daughter and her friends love putting on shows. Since then, I have been stumped...what to do with the rest of them...well, I have been working on a 4th of July Party post for Brassy Apple's Summer of Skills Series, and it hit me! So, I decided to make an American Flag for my mantel.
I also used it for our Fourth of July party set up in the kitchen as a cute backdrop!
It really does just scream summer, doesn't it? And doesn't all of that red, white, and blue just make you want to sing The Star Spangled Banner?
What do you think? It's not perfect, but it's mine...I adore it! There are 50 stars, not placed perfectly, and just a few red and white stripes...just my kind of flag...perfectly imperfect!
Happy 4th of July!!!
Great pallet idea! I like that you got in all 50 stars:-)
