Summer Porch, Side Yard, and Rose Garden

I've kept an area rug on the back porch for years thinking that I needed it to give the porch a "cozy" feel.   Does anyone else think that having a rug outdoors is way too much work?    Instead of vacuuming several  times a week.    H just takes the leaf blower out and cleans off the porch in a matter of minutes!

Summer Front Room

I'm so excited that summer is just around the corner, and I have the Front room all ready......

I am blessed to have a large kitchen with tons of storage in it.   That's great... but there is a downside too! 
 I've found that the more storage space you have.....the more places you have for things to get "lost or forgotten about"

Morning Coffee and Afternoon Tea Station

I have collected coffee cups and mugs for many years!    The other day I finally admitted to myself that my collection was out of control and it was time to do "as we say here in Eastern New Mexico"....."cull the herd "!!!

Summer Sunroom

Several years ago,   H converted our covered patio into a Sunroom.    The 2 brick outside walls of the house make  up two of the walls and H constructed the other two walls using 6 sets of French doors.

The other day,   we made some changes in the furniture arrangement in the Sunroom to allow even more sun in there.

Gone with the Wind Lamp brightens corner in the Sunroom

I was looking for a way to brighten up this corner in the Sunroom and remembered a gorgeous vintage Gone with the Wind lamp that belonged to my Mother.    I've always kept it "safe" in a spare   bedroom.... seldom seen.....and almost forgotten.

Spring Greenhouse

I haven't made a trip to the Garden Center yet,   so I don't have any 2024 Spring pictures of the Greenhouse to share yet.  

New French Country Lamps for the Sunroom

I don't normally put lamps on the sofa table in the sunroom because the top of it is only about 12 inches deep and it sits right against the sofa and right next to the wall.   So... there's NO wiggle room there....lol!
