This chicken wire cabinet is a newly finished piece we just put in the store. When we found it, it was in bad condition and definitely needed an update. It originally had stencils and etched glass. Ugh.
So I decided to paint the inside gray, paint and distress the whole piece, then I added chicken wire to the doors for a simple, shabby look. Now it's ready for displaying, storing, and showing off.
Thanks for stopping by.

I like chicken wire in cabinets, I put it once in a vintage secretary desk and I have seen it in kitchen cabinets

DeleteLove this cabinet! Great makeover!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI completely got the giggles with this one. My in-laws used to have a cabinet similar to this that they used to store dishes and called it 'the chicken coop'!
ReplyDeleteLove it.

So cute. I have a cabinet with a missing glass door. Although I'm going for a more glam effect in that room, chicken wire might be the random that the room needs. Now you got me thinking. I'd love it if you shared it at my weekly Furniture Friday party http://www.decoratinginsanity.com/2012/05/furniture-friday-16-and-features.html
