Happy Monday all, I hope all you mummies had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday! I had a lovely bunch of roses and lilies from my children, and hand made cards and a decorated wooden spoon!
The new challenge at The Ribbon Reel for the next fortnight has been set by Debbie - Pretty as a Posy! Using the picture as inspiration, use Pink, Aqua, Yellow and Neutrals, and some flowers, and make sure there is ribbon or twine somewhere on your creation!
And here's my take:
I have used 5 different ribbons on my card today, as well as stitching and plenty of pearls, so I left it sentiment free!
The pretty floral bouquet is a freebie from a magazine, and unfortunately they haven't provided a list of Artists. I hate it when they do that! If anyone does know or think they know who is the artisr, please let me know so that I can give the due credit! I coloured the bouquet with Promarkers, and cut using an oval Nestabilitie.
The beautiful papers are from a new Pink Paislee 'London Market' stack that I treated myself to yesterday - I went to Wantage to The Stamp Attic, and well, let's say that this wasn't the only thing to fall into my basket!
I layered the papers onto some pink swiss dot patterned Bazzill, also from The Stamp Attic. I know its probably more expensive buying it already embossed, but it saves a heap of time!
I stitched the pretty papers to the bazzill, and just layered up all the different ribbons, ruffling the Pink Crush, and making a little loop out of the Aqua Ruffle Sheer ribbon.
Supplies Used:
Stamps: Floral Bouquet Stamp - Free with Creative Stamping Magazine
Ink: Memento London Fog
Papers: Pink Paislee 'London Market' stack; Pink Swiss Dot Bazzill; Neenah Classic Crest White - Crafter's Companion; Petalpoint Card Base - Craftwork Cards
Ribbons: Pink Silky Crush, Navajo Pom Pom Trim, Ivory Loop Trim, Turquoise Sheer Ruffle, White Grosgrain - All from The Ribbon Reel
Other: Pearls from stash; Sewing machine and pink thread
