Some Fall Decor

You guys have inspired me to start my fall decorating! My little one I pulled out one of my fall crates from the attic, the other two are labeled "Halloween" and "Thanksgiving. I keep the fall decor up the entire time but update in October for Halloween and in November for Thanksgiving.

Let's start the tour outside. I can't take any credit for this beauty but I thought I'd share.
The door.

The porch

Juicy apples on the flag.

Even the hydrangeas have changed color for the season.

Come on in!

I love acorns and oak leaves and have a love/hate relationship with squirrels. One of my neighbors gave this adorable fall decoration.  It says 'nurture','grow','love'.
I didn't know what to do with this metal basket and the pears needed a new home so they are hanging out nicely in the den right now.

Now we'll step into the kitchen.
We'll take a break for some crock pot apples(apples, brown sugar, apple pie spice and pat of butter).   Once they start cooking, your whole house will smell like apple pie!

Here's a vignette that I've got going in the kitchen right now.  My mom just gave us this tray for our anniversary and the colors are perfect for our kitchen and for fall. It's standing up in a cookbook stand from Southern Living.  There's also a little electric candle bottle lamp and Mr Rooster.  The mortar and pestle are from a local Italian shop.

Now we're in the dining room with my beloved pumpkin soup tureen (picked up for a steal at TJ Maxx a few years ago) on the buffet.
Also on the buffet is my cloche that was holding all the wine corks before. I just filled it with mini faux pumpkins and  glittery acorns.

Come on into the family room.
Here's another cheese board in marble with the glass dome. I have it sitting on a silver Ikea candle holder. There's a little mercury glass votive holder inside on reindeer moss with a battery operated tea light. The ceramic pumpkins are from the dollar store.

Here's the mantel for now. The garland is by Valerie Parr Hill and it came pre-lit with lots of leaves, pumpkins, pine cones and acorns all over it. The lights are in fall colors like green and amber.  My mantel is pretty slim so it takes up most of the depth.  I'm sure I'll be switching out the white candles and the silver stars pretty soon.
I played around added the black urn with a white ball candle for now.

This isn't a fall decoration but it goes with the theme so well. My older daughter, dressed up as an acorn for Halloween one year next to a Pier 1 chicken.

.

Our other door.

Thanks for stopping by...more to come after another trip up to the attic.
