I'm All Backed Up

It's that time of year ---------

Lot's of demands on our time, energy, and wallets.

Monday can't come soon enough - - - -
I will savor the precious time with all the kids and grand-kids and always wishing I could do more but we all enjoy what we get and what we have. We have so much to be grateful for!!

Wow, the Orca Bay Mystery is haunting me - I want to just sit and sew and get all caught up.
Maybe New Years Weekend I can make that happen. I will just enjoy all the other Monday link-ups in the mean time.

I got all my red strings sewn, but only about half the paper is off.

My step 5 triangles are cut into strips and only barely started cutting.
I enjoy having sparkle in my quilts, and I have been able to get a lot of it in the blacks,

I'm going to dig deep in my stash to find some reds with sparkle for the center squares for step 6!!

I'm just sure this will be one of my favorite quilts!

Join the fun, if you haven't already - you have lots of time! You'll be glad you did! Bonnie will keep it on her site/blog till the end of April.

Till Next Time,

  2. I like the sparkle! Can't wait to see what this will look like all together, but Christmas comes first!

  3. I like the sparkle as well, I'v got a bit of it in my blocks, but wish I had more. When I started this I promised I wouldn't by more fabric - so far I've stuck to it, thus - no additional BLING!

  4. When making small string blocks, try doing without stitching through the paper with every seam. I sew the first seam through the paper, then for the rest of the seams I sew fabric to fabric, using the paper only as a guide to see how long to cut the next piece of fabric. It sure makes it easy to remove the paper.

The sparkle in your black is wonderful.
