Another PBarn Inspired Pillow

I've been wanting to make this little pillow now for several weeks.
I've had the burlap,
white felt,
and bells
all ready to go, but no time.
So yesterday I got out my Pottery Barn catalogue and looked
at this little poinsettia pillow carefully.

Then I made this one!
I used burlap - I cut the squares a little over 13 inches square
to allow extra for a finished pillow of 12 inches square.

I was recently given a beautiful live poinsettia,
so I copied the shape of the petals on it.
I made 3 sizes and only used 2 squares of white felt
to cut 5 petals of each size (15 total).

Debbie at Confessions of a Plate Addict gives such wonderful, clear, and easy-to-follow
directions for making this same pillow,
so I'm not going to attempt to "reinvent the wheel"....
just check out her site.
The only thing I did differently was to hand stitch
each petal with 1 ply of needlepoint yard that I already had.
It appears that the PB pillow had stitching down the middle of each petal.
Debbie ironed her petals in half  to achieve a similar (and much faster) result.
I like it either way.
I like the pillow on a chair or in my copper bucket for a fun surprise!
It's neutral enough to go anywhere.

Hope you're getting ready
for a wonderful and
Merry Christmas!
Blessings and Peace,
Linda

I loved Debbie's and I love yours! It looks so cute :) I'm trying to think of what else I could use in the centre other than bells for a year-round look. Thanks for sharing!!
