Yard Hoppin' and Estate Sale

Last week three of my cousins from Alabama came to see me. We had a wonderful time going to yard sales and to an estate sale.

Our first stop was the fall yard sale at the Clemson Farmer's Market in Columbia, SC. where I found a set of mercury glass Christmas ornaments. With the ones I found at the after Christmas sales, I might have enough for my entire tree.

Then we went to an estate sale run by The Estate Sale Guys. Hi, Geno and Tony. I found some sweet items there.

I love this old expansion coat rack. It is nice and big. Perfect for the spot behind the front door.

I wandered out to the storage building behind the house and found some great things. This old bread box needs some love, but will look great cleaned up. It has a shelf and I can see storage for various crafty things here.

I love tool box trays and these just called my name. The two in front of the bread box are from a sale I went to on Friday of this week.

I adore this bitty planner. It is heavy; I know because I dropped it on my toe trying to carry all my treasures.

Another find at the estate sale was this enamel container and lid. I am not sure what it was used for, but I have it on my counter to hold the cinnamon bottle and maple flavoring for morning oatmeal.

Here are the two tool box trays again along with the little oil can and silver stems I bought at the antique sale on Friday.

Getting to see my cousins AND getting to go junkin' made for a great time. I wish that we lived closer so we could do this more often.

Love those oil cans, I have not seen on in years. My gramps had a ton of them. Thanks for sharing. Cool rack too, that is another oldie but goodie.

Your tree is going to look gorgeous with all those MG ornaments. I have about a dozen in dark red I got at PB years ago when I worked there one Christmas. I'd love to find some in silver or gold.

Hi Rosie, nice to meet you. Sounds like you had so much fun at the yard etc. sales, especially when you had such great company. I have recently found your blog and am now following you, and will visit often. Please stop by my blog and perhaps you would like to follow me also. Have a wonderful day. Hugs, Chris
