Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Small Gifts and Tags

Hello and welcome,

It's Stamping 2nd Sunday latest blog hop for November, hosted by Sara Levin and for this month the design team will be showcasing the theme 'Small Gifts and Tags' in our projects. The list of participants will be at the end of this blog.

Today's projects are a Mini Christmas Paper Pumpkin Box and two Christmas gift tags using the Whimsical Trees Bundle, Gingerbread Dies, Tailor Made Tags Dies, Playful Alphabet Dies and lots of other different types of Stampin' Up! products from the Mini and Annual Stampin' Up! Catalogue.

The Mini Paper Pumpkin gift box is great for all of those yummy treats at Christmas time and it's food safe as well. I've used the emboss resist technique for the snow flakes stamps which is from the Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set in the Annual Catalogue. The colours I've used are Soft Succulent and Cinnamon Cider Ink with the Blending Brush.

I added a gift tag to the gift box using the large die from the Tailor Made Tags Dies, adding ink in the same colours as above mentioned through out my projects. The sentiment is stamped off three times in Cinnamon Cider Ink to give it a vintage feel.

The addition of the boarder piece die-cut from the Gingerbread Dies in Basic White Cardstock and I added a little Cinnamon Cider Ink to the piece.

I've used the iridescent foil snowflakes which are from the Wonderful Snowflakes and layered with the trio of Christmas Trees Dies. I love the new white Classic Matte Dots which will be available in the Mini Stampin' Up! January to June 2022 Catalogue.

I've created two Christmas gift tags which complement nicely with the gift box and I've used the same colours and techniques.

The first gift tag I've used the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder and the greeting stamped in Cinnamon Cider Ink and is from the Whimsical Trees Stamp Set. I just love this so much! I've combined the Linen Thread and White Faux Linen Ribbon to the tag

For the second tag I've used the Playful Alphabet Dies and Adhesive Sheets. I've added Cinnamon Cider Ink with a Blending Brush and applied ink to a strip of Basic White Cardstock using the Ombre technique. The greeting is layered on a smaller die-cut tag from the Tailor Made Tags Dies. I also splattered Cinnamon Cider Ink using the Stampin' Blend and flick ink against the lid to the Cardstock.

  2. These are just lovely Vicki! I would love to try this, but I keep looking at your gorgeous box and then my orange one and can't quite see how that could happen, LOL.

    1. Thank you so much Shirley. I like to apply ink lightly and leave white cardstock so you can always apply more ink as you go. Good luck!

  3. Absolutely stunning! I especially love the intricate lacy bottom edge of your tags. Where is that from?
