It is that time of the month when I am hopping with lots of other lovely Demonstrators around the world who are taking part in this training. Don’t forget to follow the links below to check out all the other great blogs.

I love poppies. They always make me smile when I see them bobbing in the verges on the side of the road. I was delighted when I saw the glorious array of poppies adorning the front of the mini catalogue. I was no less excited when I saw the two bundles and the paper in the Peaceful Poppies suite.

When I was deciding what products to use for my new Coffee and Card event, the poppies were an obvious choice. Early in the New Year, these jolly flowers were a welcome change from the Christmas crafting we had been busy with for many weeks.

I wanted to be able to play with a good selection of the items in the bundle

Peaceful Moments

This first card uses the Poppy Moments dies and some of the co-ordinating Designer Series Paper. Using the colours from the paper, I die cut the large back poppy in Rich Razzleberry card and the detailed outline that lays over the top in Flirty Flamingo. The Happy Birthday is stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink and this sentiment comes from the Sale-a-Bration set “Sending you Thoughts”

Painted Poppies

This lovely stamped notecard uses the “Painted Poppies” stamp set. The single poppy was stamped onto a stitched rectangle and coloured with stampin’ blends. This was then backed onto a black stitched rectangle. The background on the card was stamped using the splatter stamp and Poppy Parade ink. I LOVE this splatter stamp. The sentiment was from the “Peaceful Moments” stamp set. I added some sequins from the Peaceful Poppies sequins set.
