Scrapbooking Global May Blog Hop – Masculine

By | May 16, 2019

Time for another Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop where this month our theme is Masculine.  I only recently opened my Best Route Memories and More cards for a scrapbook page . I’d yet to use to coordinating Best Route washi tape – I thought the two combined would be perfect for this months Masculine challenge.

My son goes to an outdoor pre-school.  This means he is literally outside all day long – in all weathers.  Its the perfect environment for a little boy. Even more so for the youngest child, when a Mum’s time is so stretched.  When you have one child, you think you are so busy, when you have four – well, you can imagine! Unfortunately he watched way more TV than his older siblings at that age, and has access to electronics way earlier than they ever did. So this environment is perfect – digging in the dirt, and playing with worms!!

I just loved this photo they took of him in the January frost.  It shows his sheer joy at being outdoors

I created a pattern down one side with the washi. I would love to tell you that I measured the gaps and had it all worked out to the last millimetre, but I just winged it and was delighted when it all worked out perfectly!!

There is a gorgeous set of enamel shapes and dots that coordinate with this suite perfectly but alas I didn’t purchase them.  I decided to create my own embellishments using the washi and then punching out shapes using various circle punches. I’m really pleased how they worked out and will be definitely using this idea again.

Do hop on…

I hope you enjoyed my page today and it has given you some ideas for the washi collection that I know you have ;-). Do hop on to the lovely Sharni Haines in Australia, who I know is going to have a fabulous page for you – she has a truly gorgeous style.

Do hop around all the contributors as I know you are going to get some great ideas for layouts.  It Amy also give you an idea for a card or a piece of home decor!  Here is the full line-up

And finally, here is a list of all the products I used on todays Masculine Scrapbook page.  Do remember that the Best Route Memories and More cards and Best Route Washi Tape are retiring and will not be available in the new catalogue.  As always, don’t forget to use my current Rainbow Rewards Shopping code for May pictured below at checkout and as a thank you, I will send you a little gift in the post directly from me.

Until next time, happy crafting
