Halloween will be here before we know it!

Don't you just love Halloween? It's such a fun time to have a little fun, dress up, get some candy and enjoy a little scare for one month out of the year. We can embrace the monsters, the zombies, yes... the villains!

Today, I'm sharing two fantastic books that will help get us in the spirit!

Disney Villains: The Evilest of Them All

Dive into the devilish thoughts of Disney’s most masterful villains and become a part of the story . . . for better or for worse, in Disney Villains: The Evilest of Them All (ISBN: 978-0794441609; 6-8 years; 112 pages; $11.99; July 2018).
WANTED: The most evil, wicked, abhorrent, vile villain to ever curse this world . . . or any others.
A villain acting vile is merely part of the job description . . . but which of Disney’s famed scoundrels is the evilest of them all? Dive into the devilish thoughts of The Evil Queen, Jafar, Ursula, and more as they recall their most wicked achievements. With gatefolds and lift-the-flaps, readers can dive into minds of the best of the worst in this fun read for Disney fans of all ages.
Villains Include...
  • Evil Queen (Snow White)
  • Jafar (Aladdin)
  • Mother Gothel (Rapunzel)
  • Lady Tremaine (Cinderella)
  • Ursula (The Little Mermaid)
  • Scar (Lion King)
  • Cruella De Vil (101 Dalmatians)
  • Gaston (Beauty and the Beast)
  • Malificent (Sleeping Beauty)
  • Queen of Hearts (Alice in Wonderland)
  • Captain Hook (Peter Pan)
  • Hades (Hercules)
  • Dr. Facilier (The Princess and the Frog)

It's no secret, I LOVE Disney. Now, I must admit that I truly am more of a princess type of girl... but let's be honest- no one creates a more epic villain than Disney!

My kids recently fell even more in love with villains thanks to The Descendants movies. We loved those, and it certainly gave us a greater appreciation for the villains who made our favorite stories all the more captivating. I was excited to check this one out, but I was shocked at just how much my son loved it. It features a WIDE variety of villains from the insanely popular to those we might not think about as often. He loved having the chance to read all about their evil doing and making the decision who WAS the evilest of them all. The verdict is still out on that one, BUT he certainly enjoyed reading more about his favorite Gaston.

If you have a Disney fan in your life (or if you are a Disney fanatic yourself), this is certainly worth checking out. We could not get enough... it was fun, it was entertaining, it was magical... everything we love about Disney!

Disney Villains: Evillest Of Them All is available to purchase now.

Zombie Cross Stitch

Everything you need to stitch your brains out! Every undead heart will be warmed by these gruesome and hilarious cross-stitch projects. Zombie Cross-stitch (August 2018; ISBN: 978-1684124121; $19.99) includes a 64-page book with an overview of basic techniques and instructions for creating a dozen cross-stitch patterns, plus all the materials needed to complete two projects. From baby bibs and pillow covers to office signs and door hangers, this light-hearted kit will inspire crafters to bring their favorite zombies into the land of the living.

Zombies are everywhere these days! They have hit TV shows, books, even kids movies! I'm not sure what it is... but people go a little bit crazy for zombies. I cannot tell you how many conversations I have heard between my husband and my sister's husband working out all of the details down to the letter should an actual Zombie outbreak ever occur. Every holiday, it starts again. They enjoy it, it's fun for them. Is it any wonder that during my husband's yearlong deployment several years back I packed him up a fun Zombie themed care package for Halloween!? This set would have been the perfect addition. To be honest, I never really got the zombie obsession, BUT I have recently become obsessed with iZombie myself... so I guess it's catching!

This set offers a fun new project for all the zombie loving people of ALL ages. I love that it combines something that is more often than not considered old-fashioned and combined it with something a little crazy! This certainly is NOT your grandma's cross stitch! The included book not only offers the patterns to create these fun zombie themed projects, but teaches some basic how tos for the beginning cross stitcher too. Being new to it myself, I can certainly appreciate that. It also has everything you need for your first few project to get you going. Even for the non-zombie fanatic, this set gives you the opportunity to create some fun Halloween decor for your home!

For the zombie obsessed crafter, this is a must see. It is available to purchase now.
