Stampin' Up! CASE of the Wannabe

This morning, I showed you a card we made at our group on Thursday. Tonight's card is a CASE of that one. It uses all SU products, some are retired. Here's my card...

I embossed my Whisper White card base with the retired Brick Wall TIEF. I do like the Spellbinders better, but don't tell Stampin' Up! Since I am embossing again and I don't think Daring Cardmakers has a limit on entries, I'm adding it to their challenge.

On Cherry Cobbler cardstock, I stamped the door from the At Home With You stamp set in Basic Gray. Using the At Home Framelits Dies, I cut my door out. I adhered a piece of Crushed Curry cardstock to make it look like the lights were on.

I stamped the wreath in Garden Green, using the stamp from Brightly Lit Christmas (retired). On a scrap piece of Real Red, I stamped the bow from that set as well. I used the Christmas Lamp Post Thinlits dies (retired) to cut out the wreath and bow. I used my Real Red Stampin' Write Marker to color the berries. The lamp post is cut from the same thinlits set using a scrap of Basic Black cardstock. I cut off the bottom of the post as it was too big for the layout of the card. I die cut the pieces for the lamps using Crushed Curry and adhered them with liquid glue.

Over at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown, they are having a Punny theme challenge for September.

So, what in the world is that hanging out of the door? Well, I'm so glad you asked!

It's funny, isn't it and when you see the inside of the card, I hope you agree it's punny...well, that might be a stretch!

The llama decorated with Christmas lights is from the retired Fa-la-la-la Friends stamp set. I colored the lights with my Real Red, Crushed Curry and Shaded Spruce Stampin' Write markers. I cut him (her? it?) out with the retired Fiesta Framelits dies.

My wreath is stamped in Shaded Spruce, using the At Home With You stamp set and die cut with the matching framelits mentioned above. I colored the holly berries with my Real Red Stampin' Write Marker. The "llama" is stamped in Real Red and punched with the retired Word Window punch. I adhered that to the wreath and adhered the wreath to a scrap piece of Cherry Cobbler. "Christmas Blessings" is stamped in Shaded Spruce using a stamp from Christmas Pines.

I hope you enjoyed my card as it took me awhile to make it! I won't see you tomorrow as it's going to be a busy day for me. Hope to see you Monday! Thanks for stopping by.
