My Fall Mantel

I love fall.
It's my favorite season.
I've already made soup several times and the most delicious apple pie ever!
If you need a fabulous apple pie recipe, check out All Recipes for
(I added 1 teas. cinnmon, 1/4 teas. nutmet & splash of vanilla)
and then be SURE to try the recipe for French Pastry Pie Crust! Yum!
Mind you, our cooler weather is in the low 80's, but, hey, we've had 90 degrees
all summer!
OK, I'm embarrassed to show you last year's fall mantel.....
what was I thinking????  Ugh!

This year I kept my white and green up and swapped out the candles
for pumpkins that I already had!
Be warned, this is very minimalist decorating,
but we like it.

Oops, caught myself in the mirror!

Well, that's it.
Plain and simple.

I'll be back soon with the bargain of the century.
You will NOT believe what I found and repurposed.
Ridiculous!
Blessings to you,
Linda

I like the new look. I think I am leaning to a less is more attitude with my fall decorating this year. Of course, I haven't started yet so that really is less!!

Your mantel looks so pretty. Love how it is simple. I'm decorating with a more simple approach this year also and really like it.

I think it looks great, Linda! I do my mantels pretty much the same way. When we are in the new place though, it will be even sparser because we'll have a tv over the fireplace.

Looks fantastic! I love the burlap bows. I have been unable to find any burlap ribbon, but I hear Michaels may have it now. Gotta get some!

Have a great week!

Oh I just love your mantle with all the fall touches! I hope you will add your lovely metamorphosis to my Fall in Love linky party on Wednesday.

Until then, stop by and see the under $20 makeover I gave an ugly brass light fixture.

Happy Monday!

I like simple and elegant. I am toning it down this year too. Maybe I have just gotten to lazy to bother!
