Mallard Mom's Card

This card was made for my mom.  She and her friend just moved to a new place, my mom loves mallard ducks so I thought this might be fitting enough as a "house warming" card.  They have been living as snow birds in their two bedroom, two bathroom 5th wheel for the last several years and due to health reasons figured it was time to drop anchor so regular doctor appointments would be easier to get to.

This image is from QKR, it is called Mallard.  I used a corner die, some black gems, twine and some DP I found at a garage sale a while back, I am not sure, but I think it is from Stampin Up.  I used colored pencil to color the image.  I did shrink the image, flipped one and kept the other the same and used a square punch to remove the smaller ones.  This would actually kind of work well as a Mother's day card for a mom who had two kids, or a Father's day card with two kids...LOL  Maybe I should double it up and give it to her as a Mom's day card too?  I sort of suck at getting cards into the mail, this would insure she got one.  LOL
