Caffeine Fueled Paper Play with Newton’s Nook

Welcome to another Caffeine Fueled Paper Play!  This time around I’m playing along with Super Sponsor Newton’s Nook!  Did you know that Newton’s Nook has a bi-weekly Inky Paws Challenge?  The challenges start every other Monday and vary between Sketch, Color, and Theme challenges.  You can check out all of the information here!  Monday, November 6th was the start of a new color challenge and here is the inspiration photo:

And here is how I was inspired:

I used some papers from the most awesome Photo Play Mad4Plaid Christmas 6×6 paper pad that I purchased over at Super Sponsor Paper Sweeties website… this is a must have for any plaid loving soul!  The color scheme is perfect for this challenge!  I cut two tags from the Gift Tags 2 die set from Super Sponsor Paper Smooches.

I just love this cutie pie fox (as well as the pretty hearts i used as steam) from the Sweater Weather set from Super Sponsor Newton’s Nook!  I decided he should be a gray fox because of the color scheme.  And during the last hop I won a gift certificate to Newton’s Nook and one of the items I chose was that AWESOME Cameo Frame Die in the background.  I think I’m going to be using that one a lot!

For the cup I used a little wooden cup I got at my Local Scrapbook Store and it just so happened that one of the cutouts from the Cameo Frame diecut was perfect as a decoration for my cup.  I colored the cup with a black Copic Marker, glued on the glitter scrap and after I adhered it to the cup, I added some Liquid Glass from CTMH to give it some shine.  (Think Glossy Accents).  While I was at it I added a bit to the hearts as well!

The sentiment is also on the Newton’s Nook Sweater Weather stamp set and I finished it off with some Paper Sweeties sequins.
