It's time for us to share the next Hues of Color over at the Color Hues Challenge Blog! The colors that have been chosen for you to create with are Coral and Teal for the next two weeks! We can't wait to see how you are inspired!

 

Here's my take...

 

My card features Gina K Designs NEW Flowering Vine Layering Stencil and a sentiment from the All Occasion Flowers stamp set from the Pocket Full of Sunshine Card Kit.

Card Measurements:

White A2 Top Fold Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2", (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2")

Coral Reef Panel: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" - Master Layout #1

Tranquil Teal Panel: 3 3/4" x 5" - Master Layout #1

Layering White Stenciled Panel: 3 5/8" x 4 7/8" - Master Layout #2

Vellum Strip: 5" x 1 1/8"

Coral Circle: 1 7/8" - Master Layout #3

White Stitched Circle: 1 3/4" - Master Layout #3

Steps to Create Card:

• Create White A2 Top Fold Card Base measuring: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2", (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2").
• Die Cut Coral Reef Panel measuring: 3 7/8" x 5 1/8" using Master Layout #1.
• Die Cut Tranquil Teal Panel measuring: 3 3/4" x 5" using Master Layout #1.
• Cut Vellum Strip measuring:  5" x 1 1/8" (you will wrap around stenciled panel and attach to the back of panel).
• Take a Layering Weight White A2 Panel measuring: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and use the Flowering Vine Layering Stencil with Peach Bellini, Coral Reef, Sea Glass and Tranquil Teal ink. Trim panel to measure: 3 5/8" x 4 7/8" using Master Layout #2. 
• Stamp "Thinking of You" sentiment from the All Occasion Flowers stamp set with Coral Reef ink and cut our with the Stitched Circle measuring: 1 3/4" using Master Layout #3. You will also cut a Coral Reef Circle measuring: 1 7/8" using Master Layout #3.   
• Assemble card.
• Embellish with Rhinestones.

The NEW Large Die of the Month is called, Grand Tropical Flamingos (DOML-MAY24). I paired it with the Latticework Embossing Folder of the Month (EOM-MAY24) and a sentiment from the Always and Forever Sentiment Strips (BP-025) foiled in Matte Silver (GLF-028).

 

Card Measurements:

White A2 Top Fold Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2")

Teal Topaz Embossed A2 Panel: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Black & White Pattern Paper Strip: 4 1/4" x 1 3/4"

White Oval: 3 3/8" x 4 1/4"

Black Foiled Sentiment Strip: 2 5/16" x 1/4"

 

Steps to Create Card: 

• Create White A2 Top Fold Card Base measuring: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2").
• Cut Teal Topaz A2 Panel measuring: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". Emboss panel with Latticework Embossing Folder of the Month (EOM-MAY24). Ink blend panel with Tranquil Teal ink and White Splatter (SCS-328) for added texture.  
• Cut Black & White Pattern Paper Strip measuring: 4 1/4" x 1 3/4" (used scrap from paper stash).
• Die Cut White Oval measuring: 3 3/8" x 4 1/4" using Fluted Classics Ovals (S5-474).
• Die Cut Flamingo and foliage using: Grand Tropical Flamingos (DOML-MAY24) with Flamingo (Fruit Punch/Black/Tuscan/Gold Glitter card Stock), Foliage (Fern & Rainforest) and Flowers (Passionate Pink). Ink blend Flamingo/Flowers with Passionate Pink ink and foliage with Fresh Asparagus ink).
• Foil "Happy Birthday" sentiment using Always and Forever Sentiment Strips (BP-025) foiled in Matte Silver (GLF-028).
• Assemble card.
• Embellish Flower Centers with Black Pearls.

My card features the NEW Vintage Strawberry Seed Packet stamp set and Faded Diamonds Stencil from the May 2024 Release. I stamped the Strawberry image with alchol friendly ink and used Copic markers to color. For a little sparkle I used a clear sparkle pen.

White A2 Top Fold Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2")

Red Hot Mat: 3 3/4" x 5"

Stenciled Panel: 3 5/8" x 4 7/8"

Green & White Stripe Pattern Paper Strip: 3 3/4" x 1 1/4"

Red Hot Scallop Border: 3 3/4" x 1/2"

Grass Green Stitched Panel: 2 1/2" x 3 3/4"

Red Stitched Panel: 1 15/16" x 3 3/16"

Copic Markers Used:

Strawberries: R24, R27, R29, R39

Leaves/Stems: YG17, YG23, YG25

Steps to Create Card: 

• Create White A2 Top Fold Card Base measuring: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2").
• Cut Red Hot Panel measuring: 3 3/4" x 5".
• Take a White A2 Panel measuring: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and use Faded Diamonds Stencil with Red Hot and Red Velvet ink. Trim panel to measure: 3 5/8" x 4 7/8".
• Cut Green & White Stripe Pattern Paper to measure: 3 3/4" x 1 1/4".
• Die Cut Red Hot border using Scallop Border Die. Trim length to 3 3/4".
  
• Die Cut Grass Green Panel measuring:  2 1/2" x 3 3/4" using Stitched Rectangle Die Set.
• Die Cut Red Hot Stitched Panel measuring: 1 15/16" x 3 3/16" using Stitched Rectangle Die Set.
• Stamp Strawberry image from Vintage Strawberry Seed Packet with alchol friendly ink and color with Copic Markers. Markers used are listed above. Use coordinating die set or fussy cut out.
• Assemble card.
• Embellish with Twine, Red Pearls and Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay pen.

The NEW 3D Embossing Folder of the Month is called, Scattered Tropics (3EOM-MAY24) and the Small Die of the Month is called, Tropical Friends (DOM-MAY24). I combined both clubs along with foiled sentiments from Always and Forever Sentiment Strips (BP-025) with Matte Silver (GLF-028).

 

Card Measurements:
White A2 Top Fold Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2")

Peridot Embossed Panel: 3 3/4" x 5"

Black Sentiment Strip: 2 7/8" x 1/4"

 

Steps to Create Card:

• Create White A2 Top Fold Card Base measuring: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2").
• Cut Peridot Panel measuring: 3 3/4" x 5". Emboss Panel with Scattered Tropics (3EOM-MAY24). Ink blend embossed panel with Fresh Asparagus ink.
• Die Cut elements using Tropical Friends (DOM-MAY24) with Chamomile, Beeswax, Black, White, Pink Sand, Waterfall, Teal Topaz, Lagoon, Peridot and Fern. Assemble Parrot.
• Foil "Hello, Sweet Friend" using Always and Forever Sentiment Strips (BP-025) with Black card stock and Matte Silver Foil (GLF-028).
• Assemble card.
• Embellish with Clear Dew Drops and Clear Rhinestones (flower centers).
  

Card Measurements:

White Card Base: 3 3/4" x 5 1/2" (3 3/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2")

Peridot Embossed Panel: 3 1/2" x 5 1/4"

Black Foiled Sentiment Strip: 3" x 1/4"

 

Steps to Create Card:

• Create White Card Base Measuring: 3 3/4" x 5 1/2" (3 3/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2").
• Cut Peridot Panel measuring: 3 1/2" x 5 1/4". Ink blend embossed panel with Jelly Bean Green and Fresh Asparagus ink. Emboss panel with Scattered Tropics (3EOM-MAY24).
• Die Cut elements using Tropical Friends (DOM-MAY24) with Black, White, Passionate Pink, Bubblegum, Jelly Bean Green. Ink Blend with Passionate Pink and Fresh Asparagus. Assemble Toucan.
• Foil "You Brighten My Day" using Always and Forever Sentiment Strips (BP-025) with Black card stock and Matte Silver Foil (GLF-028).
• Assemble card.
• Embellish with Clear Rhinestones.

White Foiled Sentiment Strip: 2 15/16" x 3/8"

Steps to Create Card:

• Create White A2 Top Fold Card Base measuring: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2").
• Cut White Panel measuring: 3 3/4" x 5" and emboss panel with Latticework (EOM-MAY24).
• Die Cut elements using Grand Tropical Flamings Large Die of the Month (DOML-MAY24) with Bubblegum, Passionate Pink, Rainforest and Fern card stock. Flower centers are cut from Gold Glitter card stock. Add ink blending with Passionate Pink and Fresh Asparagus ink. Assemble large flower.
• Foil "Hello Sunshine" sentiment using Curved Everyday Sentiments Glimmer Plate & Die (GLP-434) with Gold Foil (GLF-014).
• Assemble card.

Spellbinders | Summer Fun by House Mouse

 Spellbinders NEW May 2024 Arrivals are NOW available and can be found in the store HERE. Today I'm back with another card featuring the NEW Summer Fun by House Mouse Collection.

 

My card features the NEW Sweet Birthday (RSC-027) from the Summer Fun by House Mouse Collection. I used Pinkfresh Licorice ink with my Misti and did not remove the stamp. I then used Copic Markers to color before placing the panel back into my Misti to re-stamping it with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink to give it a crisp black outline. This step is totally optional and you can start off by just stamping the image in black ink and color.

 

Card Measurements:

White A2 Top Fold Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2")

Bubblegum Embossed Panel: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

White Arch Panel: 3 1/4" x 4 1/2"

 

Copic Markers Used:

Mouse: T2, T4, T6 (Fur) and E50, E51, E93 (Skin)

Hat/Candles/Cake Dish: R81, R83, R85

Cake: E23, E25, E27 (Frosting) and YR21, YR23 (Cake)

Ground: W2, W1

Steps to Create Card: 

• Create White A2 Top Fold Card Base measuring: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2").
• Cut Bubblegum A2 Panel measuring: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and emboss with Floating Balloons 3D Embossing Folder (E3D-062). Take White Pigment ink pad direct to card stock to make balloon pop.
  
• On a White A2 Panel stamp Sweet Birthday (RSC-027) with Pinkfresh Licorice ink using a stamp positioner and don't remove the stamp. Color image with Copic Markers. Place panel back into stamp positioner and re-stamp with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink. This will give you a crisp image. Die Cut panel with Essential Arches (S5-526) to measure: 3 1/4" x 4 1/2".
• Assemble Card.
• Embellish with Buttons Galore Crystal Stars and Diamond Stickles on the Party Hat & Candles .
