25th Wedding Anniversary

Today is my day off from work and I’m loving that I have nothing planned for the day but to make a few cards.

I had a request to make a card for a 25th Wedding Anniversary.  I went the traditional route and used a silver and white color scheme – almost a monochromatic color scheme.

I saw this sketch last week at Sketch ‘n Stash Challenge and I’ve been dying to use it.  This is a really fun sketch to use, I can see so many possibilites to use it.  I’m using SEI’s White Elegance DP – this paper pad is GORGEOUS, it’s a tone-on-tone white paper with shimmer and a slight emboss on each paper.  I matted each piece with a silver cardstock.

I used a Martha Stewart border punch to make the center border – I flipped it to make the mirror image and thus creating a wider border.  I topped it with a sheer white ribbon and then layered a silver on top of that.

I used two different Spellbinder dies; a square and a loopy square.  The butterfly is a Martha Steward punch.  I added a few silver rhinestones to the butterfly to add just a bit of bling to the card.

The image I’m using is a digital stamp from Stamping Dragon Designs, I was lucky enough to win a few images and I thought it would be fun to use on of them on this card.  The digi is Swirly Triple Hearts.  Normally I wouldn’t post a card with names on it but these are two fairly common names so hopefully they don’t mind.

I hope you enjoy my creations – thanks for stopping by and I hope you’ll stop back again soon!
