What do you do with all those jars you have?
The Single Nester came up with a great idea you can check out here.
My daughter came up with another great idea here:
1 large pickle jar
Using her hot glue gun,
she wound jute around the lid from the rim
up to the point where it would be covered by a flower.
Then she attached the flower and
filled the jar with cotton balls and q-tips!
How cute is that!
How cute is that!
The Vlasic pickle jars
have sort of a wavyness to the jar
which gives them an old look.
And everyone has some jute lying around the house!
Too easy!
She also jazzed up a plain white hand towel for a friend.
She added a fabric monogram
as well as some fabric across the bottom.
She trimmed off the fabric edges with ribbon.
You can check out her site at
She has soooooo many cute items,
including children's clothing.
Blessings to you,
Linda

Shelia ;)
I like this idea Linda! Very pretty and useful!
Great ideas. Very creative!
your daughter is one clever chick! It looks do-able for someone like me who is totally not crafty. I think I'll give it a try...hope it's as pretty as the ones on your vanity.;j
I love your daughter's idea! It looks so pretty the way she has it displayed. I just can't bring myself to throw out pretty jars.
I love her jar idea Linda!
I will check out more ideas, I love these thrifty ones!
hugs to you,
Cindy
Love both ideas. Cute and clever!
That is a great use for all of those old jars and it looks so pretty. Love that towel too.
First of all, thanks for stopping by my blog, My Old Historic House. Thanks, also for the nice comment you left about the comment I left for Common Grounds design challenge. I am your newest follower. I like the floral topped jar ideal. I might steal it and go a step beyond and add an antique piece of jewelry in the center. Thanks, Richard
How adorable and inventive is that?? Good for your daughter! I love the big candlestick in the photo too!
Best,
Gloria
What a cute idea!!
I save mine and paint the lids to store crafts....but I love this idea too!! The jute and flower on top are adorable. :)
I have needed a place to put a special $10 silk peony for months, nothing was clever enough UNTIL NOW!! brilliant!!

Love your idea. If you check my blog, you will see a post from a few weeks ago where I made faux blue ball jars using some food coloring and glue.
Thank you so much for the shout out! Can you believe those flowers from three weeks ago are still alive in those jars.
Great idea for the jar...looks nice! Awesome towel too! :)
I love the jar!
I love that re-use of the pickle jar! It's beautiful and useful!
Your daughter had a really cute idea there! I have an assortment of jars that didn't make it to recycling, because I liked their shape. I've got several ideas for them...just no time to make the ideas a reality. ;)
I would love to have you join me at my linky party, as well, Linda. The link is up now.
