School starts in less than a week for my son, so I've been scrambling to get everything together in time. It's amazing how quickly the end of summer sneaks up on me! I've partnered with CVS to share our back to school checklist and how they're helping us get ready for the school year.
I find the easiest way to get things in order is to make lists. It's what I've always done and I would say I'm pretty organized. With back to school, there are a lot of things to remember, so I thought I would share our checklist this year and give you a free printable to make it easier!

Completing Our Back to School Checklist with CVS
Hopefully, our back to school checklist will help you start getting things ready for school this year! CVS Pharmacy has become a one-stop-shop for us, especially for our back to school needs. I know when you think of CVS, you might just think of a Pharmacy, but there is SO much more to this store. As I explained in my post about what's new at CVS, they're revamping many things at their stores to put more focus on their customers' health and wellness.
We've been working as a family to eat healthier this summer and I want that to continue into the school year for my kids. My son takes snacks to school and we like to have convenient, nutritious choices for breakfast on those quick mornings out the door. CVS is committed to providing healthier choices in their stores, and I use their shelf tagging system to find options that are organic, non-GMO, and sugar-free.
I can always count on their exclusive Gold Emblem Abound brand to find snacks that are free from artificial flavors, preservatives, and trans-fats. CVS also has displays specifically dedicated to allergen-free brands like KIND, Enjoy Life, and SkinnyPop so it's easy to find snacks that my son can safely take to school. With many classrooms banning peanut butter and other allergens, these are great options.
Another thing we need to think about before the school year starts is ways to stay healthy. No matter how clean classrooms are, I find my son gets sick at the beginning of the year just purely from exposure to a new environment with lots of new children. I try to stock up on vitamins, hand sanitizer, ibuprofen, acetaminophen and cold/flu essentials before the year starts. CVS Pharmacy carries everything we need and the staff are always knowledgeable and helpful. We grabbed these Gummy Dino vitamins on our last visit to CVS and they're a hit! Both of my kids love them, which is fantastic since they've flat-out refused other brands of vitamins in the past.
In addition to over-the-counter needs, MinuteClinic offers many services to help with Back to School. If your child needs to get up-to-date on vaccinations for the year, CVS offers several Vaccines, as well as the flu shot for the dreaded upcoming flu season. Plus they offer walk-in care if your children do get sick, which is especially helpful on school nights after clinic hours. There's no worse feeling than making your sick kid wait until the following day to get treated. It's easy to find a CVS clinic using the Clinic Locator on the MinuteClinic website.
In addition to general wellness, many students need a Sports Physicals before they start playing for the school year. CVS offers sports physicals and will stamp any medical forms required for you. They will also forward their records to your primary care provider!
One of my favorite things about CVS is the CVS App. I use the app to refill prescriptions, use CVS pay, and take advantage of curbside pickup. Plus, as a member of the CVS ExtraCare Rewards Program, I receive 2% back in ExtraBucks Rewards for every purchase I make. You can check out more features in my post about why everyone should have the CVS Pharmacy App!
I'm so glad we have a local CVS Pharmacy for all of our back to school needs. Summer is almost over and the kids will be on the bus headed back to see their friends and favorite teachers. Are you ready to see summer end?
Have you taken care of your child's physical or vaccination needs yet?
How about those school supplies or snacks?
Be sure to print our back to school checklist and head to CVS Pharmacy.
Disclosure: I’m proud to be working with CVS Pharmacy to help spread the word about #BetterHealthMadeEasy and how to #FindYourHealthy. All opinions expressed are my own, and all product claims or program details shared should be verified at CVS.com or with the appropriate manufacturers.

I haven't shopped at CVS in a long time. I need to stop by and see what deals they have going on now. Back to school check lists are awesome! We homeschool, so ours is a little different. A hair cut for my oldest is definitely on ours though!

Great checklist! I did my BTS shopping at CVS, too. They have great sales, bonus offers, and they have this particular type of notebook and filler paper that I can't find anywhere else. Their prices are hard to beat!
