  2. My first bicycle was that of my older sisters, I didn’t mind that I got her hand me down because it fit me perfect. My uncle had painted it a bright pink for me and he put a horn and a mirror for safety..

  3. I don’t really remember much about my first bicycle except that it HAD to have a lot of “streamers” on the handle bars. My mom always said that there were so many plastic pieces coming out of the plastic cover, she was never sure I wouldn’t miss the “handle”

  9. I won my first bike at the local five and ten in 1964. I was 10. It was blue and big and I loved it. Rode it for years. That may have been the beginnig of sweeps in my brain, lol.

  12. It was pink and my mom couldn’t teach me to ride it. Eventually a relative was able to. And once I crashed into a tree and got a mild concussion…. 😉

  13. My first bike was a steel blue skinny-tired 10-speed with a skinny seat. I had the first 10-speed bike on our block and everyone else had fat-tired bikes with fat seats. II had steel blue streamers coming off the end of each handlebar. I even was able to put on a panda bear decal, and I loved panda bears! Heaven on wheels!

  15. I don’t remember much about my very first bike, but it was probably pink. The bike I do remember is the ten-speed bike I got for Christmas when I was 10! It was the only thing I asked for that Christmas and I got it! I rode that bike every day through middle school and it is actually still in my parent’s garage back home!

  16. My first bike was my sister’s bike. It was lime green and had a long seat so two people could ride it (I think they were called banana seats?). She grew bored with it after about 2 weeks and it was mine…all mine…bwahahaha!

  20. The first bike I remember is a turquoise english racer 10 speed bike when I was 8 or 9 yrs. old. I wish I could find a picture of it, it was a special bike.

  27. My very first bicycle was a, I am sure, used teeny one that looked like it was appropriate for a pre-schooler. I was 11, but I rode it anyway for about two years until my Dad got me a brand new Schwinn which was so big, my feet didn’t touch the ground when I sat on the seat, so it was like learning to ride all over again.

  30. I just had flashbacks lol My first bike was as a fifth grader. I had a full size bike with no training wheels. I was scared to death but my father said I just had to get on it and ride it. I rode it straight into a huge decorative rock that sat at the end of our driveway, lol. I remember I loved it as it was light blue and full size. I did learn to ride it but it took a while, lol 🙂

  31. I never had a bicycle as a child, so my first bicycle was a gift from my husband. Because I started out so late in life, unfortunately, I have never really mastered riding for fun.

  35. my frist bike well I had lot of them I can really recall having one was a 10 speed and the other one was a old swinn bike from the 1960’s also had a 3 wheel trike that was my aunts that she gave to me that well when she had it she use to put me in the cart prat and ride me a round town in back in the 70’s I also had a 5 speed bike to it was white. I had so miny bikes as a kid that well I never went with out one.

  37. My first bicycle, my uncle found in the trash. LOL. But there was nothing wrong with it, except it needed new tires. I loved that thing. It was totally 90s looking, the bright pastel colors. I was sad to see it go, but I graduated to needing a bit taller bike!

  40. Ugh, you’re testing me here. My memory is SO AWFUL. (…My god, I hope I wore a bike helmet back in the day…)
    Anyway, the first bicycle that I really remember cruisin’ around on was a yellow bike… with a yellow (obviously) banana seat.

  43. I remember my tricycle. I have no idea why but I wrapped my Slinky around the handlebars (of course it got stuck) and then I left it out (instead of putting it under the porch) and it got all rusty. Then when I was 6, my mom got me a red bike with raining wheels. I still remember when my stepdad Bill took the training wheels off and taught me to ride it.

  45. I’ve had so many bikes over the years! I’m not sure if it was my first bike, but the first one I remember had streamers and lots of pink and blue! It had a basket on the front and I used to put my toys in it and ride all over the yard!

  46. Oh my, ours was HUGE! Our Grandma gave one to me and my sisters to share. I’m amazed I didn’t break my neck when I learned to ride that thing but am eternally grateful that she gave it to us….next we got a little girl sized bike with a ‘banana seat’…gosh, I had forgotten about that until I was answering this question.   47. I remember learning to ride my first two wheeler and the cuts and scrapes I received while learning to ride it.

  50. My first bike was red and I got it for Christmas. I immdetiatly had my dad take it outside and I rode it up and down the street and didn’t care about opening the rest of my presents.

  51. My first bike, that my dad finally let us have, was a small beige bike. I remember him riding on it when we first got it and he went over this break in the sidewalk, that was kind of like a small ramp, when he came down it broke the bike in half. We never did get another bike.

  52. I honestly cannot remember my first bike, but there was one memorable bike. One Christmas I got a red Coca-cola bike and I thought it was the best thing ever. Luckily we didn’t have snow that year and I rode it around the block at least 5 times..
