Description

Dear teachers,

Please enjoy these Common Core and TEKS aligned Fraction, Decimal and Percent squares with patterns in them. I teach in Minnesota and one of our standards is to be able to convert between fractions, decimals, and percents. To start this learning I wanted to show students decimal squares but with a pattern rather than just having them subitize 4 lines plus three is equivalent to 0.43. I wanted my students to have to challenge what they know about decimal squares and see how they are equivalent.

I plan to use these to show on my smart board and to put into worksheets. This file contains 50 different patterned squares in 12 different color options. The light grey is the best for printing in black and white.

Please let me know if you have a color preference to add.

Included in the zip file you will find:

• 12 color separated sets of 50 commercial/personal use, in at least 6”x 6” high resolution decimal squares for the use in worksheets or on your smart board, (that is 600 high resolution pictures).

• Each paper is its own 300+dpi which is great for resizing on various products.

• The files are all JPEG

• You will also find my TOU button. If you choose to use my papers for any product that you might sell, YOU MUST include my button and a link to my store

Express a fraction with denominator 10 as an equivalent fraction with denominator 100, and use this technique to add two fractions with respective denominators 10 and 100. For example, express 3/10 as 30/100, and add 3/10 + 4/100 = 34/100.
Use decimal notation for fractions with denominators 10 or 100. For example, rewrite 0.62 as 62/100; describe a length as 0.62 meters; locate 0.62 on a number line diagram.
