“These are the days of miracle and wonder.”
~Paul Simon
The sketch challenge over at http://global-design-project.com this week offered the perfect opportunity to try out the new Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies to make the black panel on the right side of this card. These dies are another winner, as is the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies that I used for the flower and leaf. This card has a white base that is embossed with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. (I had to lay the card on a piece of Island Indigo Paper to remove the shadows that appear when photographing a white card.) I turned the embossing folder sideways so that the “clump” of dots on the folder would be on the right. Thanks for the great inspiration for this graduation card Global Design Project! Have a wonderful weekend, Dawn.
I adore these new Swirly framelits. What a great way to use them on the sketch challenge. They make the perfect background for your floral piece. Thanks for playing at Global Design Project with us this week.
Hi Paula! This was the first time I used the new dies…can’t wait to play with them some more! 🙂
Thank you so much for playing along with this week’s Global Design Project challenge. You created a beautiful card. Xx
Thanks Kylie! I ended up making three more without mixing colors (all black, all cherry cobbler and all pacific point) and I liked them much better! 🙂
