it was amazing
bookshelves: british-isles, early-20th-century, mystery, series

This second book in the series finds Inspector Rutledge still dealing with his injuries from the war as he is sent from London to Cornwall to check into the circumstances of two suicides and a murder. As he investigates, he is drawn into a web of murder and deception unlike anything he had at first considered, and he is forced to question many personal ideas. This one was very good with a gripping mystery and a slow pile-up of clues that sends Ian and the reader in different directions before things begin to crystallize. So good.

C. (Comment or e-mail, please never send msg). Could I get you to redo your recent entries so they include author? If I go and locate them, it's taxing on time with dial-up internet. I do a listing of all guest reviews eventually. Huge thanks. Happy Easter to you! :-)

Sue Oops! I know better and just forgot. Grrr. I don't see that I can delete the old entry, so had to enter a new one.
