A Lemon for #GDP022

“He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases.”

-Psalm 103:3

I needed two “gentlemen’s” cards this week and the challenge over at the Global Design Project http://www.global-design-project. com provided the perfect inspiration!

I used the new “Apple of My Eye” stamp set for this challenge.  I immediately thought of the lemon stamp when looking at this challenge.  Not sure why, but maybe because of two big “lemony” situations this past week (my friend Barbara’s cancer spreading and another friend that had a heart attack while shoveling snow on Tuesday!)  I’ve been setting up a prayer effort for Barbara and almost 150 people have joined in the gift of having at least one person a day say a decade of the rosary for Barbara’s healing journey.  It is just awesome how kind and giving people are.  If you can, please remember Barbara and her hubby and four sons in your prayers.  The “Hang in There” sentiment in the card below comes from the new Sale-A-Bration “Honeycomb Happiness” stamp set.  I cut the lemons out with a Starburst Framelit Die, it adds extra texture and pizzaz to the card!  The striped paper is the new thin envelope paper.  Ink Colors are Mint Macaron and Crushed Curry.  The yellow stripe is embossed with the Delicate Designs Embossing Folder.  The stripe was so pretty, I hated to cover it up!  I made matching envelopes, using just half of the lemon stamp and a smaller leaf that is in the set.

Stamping Classes will be held here next Monday morning, Monday evening and Tuesday morning.  We’ll be using the Apple of My Eye stamp set.  Looking forward to seeing all the Stamping Peacers!  Have a beautiful weekend, enjoy the snow that is coming! xo Dawn

  1. What a wonderful prayer chain ! To pray a decade of the rosary , I am sending my prayers also from across the U.S, from Idaho.

  2. Dawn – what a lovely card! The colors are so beautiful together! Sweet sentiments in your card, too! Sending prayers for your friend. Thank you so much for playing along with this week’s Global Design Project Sketch Challenge!
