Another fun mystery with Amelia and Emerson. This time they take their precocious son, Ramses, to the dig and spend a fair amount of effort trying to keep up with him. As Amelia searches for the Master Criminal who is trading in stolen antiques, she encounters American missionaries, a lion cub, a lady German collector who dresses like Cleopatra, and assorted others who make their life difficult at the second-rate dig they have been assigned.
