It's been a long time...
since I could get together with the girls...
(Mary Rose)
Mary came in her finest tulle gown,
graceful as a ballerina...
(Nancy Reagan rose)
Nancy came impeccably dressed,
like the fine lady she is...
(Gertrude Jekyll rose)
Gertrude like the strong English Lady she is,
unafraid of the wet weather...
came in full bloom...
her dress vivid and full...
and wearing the finest perfume
any of us had ever smelled....
we decided on just desserts...
layers of lacy linens laid on the table...
(china from Bavaria - Mignon pattern)
new dessert plates
a weekend yard sale find...
things from yard sales
seem to always come in threes :-)
silver servers...
you know you are having a good party
when you have a party crasher..
Iris arrived late...
she is no Rose
but what a striking beauty she is!
everyone had an amazing time,
getting to know each other...
Today I am joining...
and
Thanks for joining us today...

Beautiful flowers, and what a fun way that you wrote about it.
Delightful Bella!
Bella, I just loved this post!
How clever and so glad all your "girls" were able to join you. Loved the antique silver pieces
Fabulous entry! The roses seem to emulate the people, for example, my favorites are those that seem to have costumes pompous, Greetings, Rose Marie
I love this Bella! It's so pretty and I'm happy your 'friends' dropped by for just dessert. :-) Pamela

Hi Bella,
What a cute post! All of your roses are so pretty, but I think I love Gertrude the most! ;-)
Love the lacy linens and that lovely silver server too!
This post is so darn cute! How creative you are and everything is so pretty.
Mary rose is my favorite!
As ever very appealing to the eye and the imagination - I wanted to join the ladies for tea.

So much pretty here today! That Nancy photo is just dreamy! But so many sweet details in the linen and silver. Nice, nice... And GORGEOUS roses of course. Do you ever show your garden like Carolyn of Prince Edward Island? People must stop by all the time for a look.
Hi Bella,
What a lovely floral party! Your new plate looks very pretty too. You must have quite a lot of them as well. I find it difficult to resist floral porcelain too :-) and always buy too much!!
Lieve groet, Madelief x
I love your little party of desserts! Just what a beautiful flower deserves....Thank you for sharing...Blessings My Friend,
Dear Bella

OH SO LOVELY! Made me want to jump right in the pictures and take a seat with 'the girls'! I just scored some lovely tea plates at GW today for 99 cents each! So fun to find these old treasures! Love your linens too!
Hello Bella!
Stopping by for the first time ~ and just in time for your get-together with the girls. You have some very gorgeous friends. I enjoyed seeing each one!
Sweet post :)
Kindly, Lorraine
Bella it's stunning! Those roses are the most beautiful I've ever seen! So gorgeous! It's been forever since I've posted on TT, but I just finished up a tablescape for the Lewiston Tour of Kitchens tonight and I just had to share it with you and your readers!!! Hope you can make it by to see the finished product! :) Would love to know what you think, you're a master of these tablescapes, afterall! :) xo,A
It sounds like the perfect party! Dessert and friends ~ ENJOY!
ciao from Newport Beach
I have anthropomorphic thoughts about my roses, too!
So sorry to read about the loss of your tender roses, dear. Lucky for you to live near capital rose nurseries out there! I don't dare grow Austins here in Z4, of course, but I can see yours. Can't wait for Sceptere'd Isle.
xoxo

Bella, sorry I'm late arriving. Your party girls are gorgeous. Cute post. You make me smile! ~ Sarah
Oh, so beautiful! Your colorful, perfumed guests are exquisitely showy against all that gorgeous white linen. And the lovely dessert dishes are almost enough to make the roses blush, and the dessert proud. Gorgeous table setting. Thank you for sharing that.
Enjoy the day,
Marianne
