MFT SUMMER SCHOOL: RULE OF THIRDS

Hello readers!

Do you know that MFT has a Summer School? The first lesson is about Rule of Thirds. In this lesson, they teach you how to arrange the elements on your card. You can also add your link and win some prices. So don't forget to take a look at their blog.

Here is my card for the lesson #1. I used a metallic paper that I got from my husband's sister. I'm in love with this paper. I hope, the pictures could catch the beautiful silver-black color.

To create the background, I used the Seven Seas Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels and the Cold as Ice Vibez from Shimmerz Paints. I colored also some Modeling Paste from DecoArt Media with the Seven Seas Glimmer Mist and applied it on my background with the LaBlanche stencil.

Than I used the Stitched Rounded Rectangle Die-Namics from MFT and the Cool Day Die-Namics to cut out the background and hearts. The Happy Birthday die cut is from Simon Says Stamp and the Butterfly is from Sizzix.
