Steeped in Evil (A Tea Shop Mystery, #15)

I don't expect much from a cozy mystery except a good characters and a decent mystery. I read them for fun and because I don't love slasher thrillers. So another visit to the Indigo Tea Shop to check in on Theo, Drayton, and Hayley is a fun time. This was a fine mystery and even though I pegged the killer right away, I didn't know the motive until it was revealed. But the final chase was too cheesy and ridiculous, and some of Theo's repeated thought phrases were getting annoying. I continue my rant about the boyfriend issue. Even though it's a new one, Max seems to perform the same function as the deceased Parker: be a charming boy toy and complain about her investigating. Theo seems to have a much deeper emotional connection with the venerable Drayton. Maybe they should get together?? I'm all caught up with this series now so maybe it's time to give it a break for a while.
