really liked it
bookshelves: series, dystopian, young-adult, library, audio-books
Read 2 times. Last read April 11, 2015 to April 14, 2015.

April 2015: A totally different experience this time around as I alternately listened and read. I remembered the very end but nothing leading up to it so it was like reading a new book and I was caught more by the science and politics this time and liked it more.

November 2013: I know many people are completely upset at the ending and I won't give you any spoilers. I'm not thrilled for what I think are completely different reasons. The big plot twist didn't hurt me like it should have so that says something about how the story was winding up for me. At first I didn't even think it was real and when I realized it was true, I was all, "Meh". What I found annoying was how predictable the ending was for me. That's why I kept thinking something was going to happen to mix it up because surely she wasn't really writing the ending in such a predictable way. But alas, yes. You could see all that coming a mile away. So I thought that was disappointing. And after the big plot reveal, the book just dragged on and...ended. Surprisingly for a trilogy, I liked the middle book the best. Go figure.
