Let Your Hair Down

I have another quick post tonight--I managed to remove the rogue virus from my laptop last night after about 4 hours of attempts and it's back up and running, but now I'm running behind on my to-do list! Here's my card for this week's Kraftin' Kimmie "girl power" challenge to use a girl image on your card. I just got this Rapunzel image, so I inked her up along with a slightly non-traditional (for a princess) green color scheme.

Rapunzel is colored with Copic markers. Her crown's covered with Yellow Stickles that are hard to see--the photo's darker than I would have liked because it's started to rain here (yet again--as it has for most of the week) and the lighting's pretty poor right now.

After I set the matted image on the monochromatic yellow-green patterned paper panel, I ran a strip of lace along the image's edge, extending the length of the card. A piece of ScorTape holds it in place. A darker green satin ribbon strip sits on top of the lace's straight edge. I used a bow made from the same ribbon to dress up the sentiment panel that features the coordinating "let your hair down" phrase. The sentiment fit nicely in the open space on the image panel.

I hear thunder in the distance so I'm logging off the computer for a while in the hopes of avoiding any more computer mishaps . . .
