Crazy About Hexagons – AHSC #101

I love the difference a little craft time makes!

The Atlantic Heart Sketch Challenge has another awesome sketch challenge this week.  I’m not sure how Michelle keeps coming up with them, but the inspiration is delightful.

 

 

 

I didn’t really want to work with flowers and had seen a cute card on Pinterest that I thought would work for this sketch.  Since we also have a huge amount of Mason Bees buzzing around the farm I reached for my Hexagons stamp set and Buzz and Bumble accessories.  I spent 20 minutes looking for my Buzz and Bumble paper, but wasn’t able to find it.  Hmmm, Kraft paper and Chocolate Ink to the rescue!

 

 

 

 

 

 

I kept the inside simple only lining the bottom with Scallop Punched Gold Shimmer Trim.  Here’s a hint, leave the lining on while you punch!

  7. I don’t know whether you’re submitting this challenge to Color My Heart Color Dare, but if you used chocolate and champagne, it might fit this week’s challenge which is open for a couple more days. It’s a fun challenge working with colors.

  8. Hexagons are a favorite of mine too…very pretty card. It was really nice seeing Brooke’s card on the challenge also, and being a grandmother as well, I’m sure it makes you proud that they want to join us with the fun of scrapping. Melanie and I are friends and neighbors and share our enthusiasm in challenges, and with Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenges in particular.
