30 Minute Gift Idea & Printable

I felt like crafting today but I didn't know what to make. It is windy outside so painting was out of the question and being 26 weeks pregnant makes smelly glue type crafts out of the question too..I finally settled on something I can add to my gift closet and I needed it to be quick because I decided I wanted to be crafty at 4pm...

Hence the journal jar...

I have been reading Simple Abundance again as well as Something More: Excavating your Authentic Self both by Sarah Ban Breathnach which talks a lot about self discovery and gratitude.

I used my friend Google and found a bunch of great prompts on the Abundance Blog as well as on a Super Teacher blog to put together a list. Some are fun, some are serious "What the heck are you doing with your life?" type prompts.

You can download my list of prompts here. I spaced them out and printed them on some fun patterned scrapbook paper I had around the house.

This would be a fun quick gift with a pretty notebook or a fun pack of pens!

I thought this could also be a fun personal progress activity especially if you take the items from the Personal Progress book as the activities and print them on the value colors. Then the YW could draw one item a week or month to work on.

  2. cute idea!
I just started a linky party this past Tuesday. It was a great success with over 50 link ups! I would love it if you would participate tomorrow! It's called $10 Tuesdays and it's for things that cost less than $10 and take 20-30 mins (ish) to complete. I love inexpensive and quick projects and I'm guessing others will too ;) Thanks so much for considering.

  4. Sarah Ban Breathnach's books are great, especially during those transition times in our lives (for me it was immediate menopause brought on by surgery). Her words are calming and mind- clearing like listening to water lap gently against lakeshore.
Thanks for the reminder about the prompts.
Best wishes to you and your baby (coming soon)
