New TV Stand

Our house is so small that the living room is the room where we watch TV. The awful green reclining chair was turned toward the TV and the back was to the couch. It was impossible to carry on a conversation while the TV was on. Sorta reminds me of "Frazier" when his father moved in with his old recliner!

Evan and I made a trip to Ikea and got a new stand for the TV to get it out of the corner.

The box marks the spot where the new stand  is going.

I got out my trusty tools and opened the box. There sure were lots of bolts and screws.

Not to mention some stray cords after I moved the components.

After: Better

This photo was made after estate sale additions of an oriental runner in front of the TV and a new to us rocker/recliner in a much better color.

The desk was moved from the other side of the short wall.

The glass console table is now moved to the spot where the desk was in the dining area.

This seems like a much better set up.

Ikea furniture definitely comes in lots of pieces. LOL But I've found it fairly easy to assemble which is good. :)
