I am a dishaholic. Yes, I freely admit it. I am drawn to dishes. When I saw these beauties so nicely displayed on a lovely wooden table at a yard sale in my home town, I went straight to them. Picked up the mugs, looked at the bottom (all dishaholics can relate to this habit) and then at the price and thought, “that’s a great deal.” Do I need more dishes? No. But I thought these would be perfect for my daughter. That was all the excuse I needed.
The price tag called them Fiesta and while I know they are not truly Fiesta ware, I am calling them Fiesta for this post. There was a complete set for six place settings with several pieces remaining.
I decided to do a setting using only the items I purchased at this fabulous yard sale in my home town. To read more about it go here. Everything in this tablescape was purchased at one yard sale, except my favorite hurricanes and candles which I used to complete the centerpiece.
I mixed and matched each of the place settings so that each one would be different.
The flatware is a Williamsburg pattern hotel plate made by Wm. A. Rogers (Oneida Ltd.). It could use some polishing, but I was too impatient to do this tablescape to wait for that to happen. I was fortunate to purchase more than six place settings of this pattern. Here is a close up of the mark:
Aren’t the little soup spoons so cute? I also found the table runner, which is reversible. The flip side is strictly sunflowers. I thought the colorful roosters would be nice to use with the colorful dinnerware.
The large oval red serving platter compliments the dishes. I think I’m keeping this one for myself! I decided to add the five cut-glass stemmed compotes which were also a part of this big dish day. Aren’t they beautiful?
I just love the design on the stem base. They are quite heavy. Does anyone know the design or maker? I added a large silver ornament that was part of my power purchase to add a little interest to the arrangement.
I did use my “go-to” Southern Living at Home hurricanes with my favorite battery-operated candles to complete the centerpiece. Each hurricane is sitting on an extra salad plate to give a little more pop to the centerpiece. Ā The hurricanes/candles are the only things on this table that were not purchases at the fabulous yard sale.

I don’t think we have any that good nearby. (and yes, we dishaholics buy dishes even if we don’t need any ~ especially if they are a bargain! Don’t blame you a bit for jumping on these. Hi Sunny, Yes the teacups are sitting on a three-candle black metal holder. This is the kind that doesn’t have a little spike in the center to anchor the candle. These little teacups/saucers nestled nicely together. Glad you liked the blue tablescape. Tammy
Loved it! What I really liked was that it looked like a tablescape for a REAL meal! Something about “Fiesta” is that it’s just warm and homey. What an awesome yard sale. You racked up.
What a find for you! I would have snapped these dishes right up, Fiesta or not. Some of my very favorite dishes and glassware are from yard/garage sales. When you get a deal, there’s always room for one more set!
