Monster hugs!

Monster-full

Sometimes you just come a cross a set of stamps that makes you smile from ear to ear!  Last month, I feel in love with Kraftin’ Kimmie’s new sloth themed set called Wanna Hang.  This month, my new love interest happens to be a darling set of little monsters called Monster Hugs!  I’m willing to bet these cuties will make you smile too!

Monster-closeupWhen pulling this card together, I wanted to have some really, bright happy colours so I dug into my crafty stash and found a great collection from Pink Paislee called Soiree!  I then coloured up the image with Copics to match the paper (I almost alwasy start by picking my paper first…it’s so much easier to match the colouring that way)!

The final step for me was to fussy cut the monster.  Why? Well, because I wanted him to be able to actually dance!  Really!  I decided to put him on top of an “Action Wobble” so he could get his groove on!

Monster-angledIf you’ve never seen Action Wobbles, they are just little plastic springs with adhesive on each end.  They make it really easy to add movement to different parts of your card.  You could do the same thing simply with a little floral wire and a bit of tape – and trust me, when you see this little guy wiggle with his tambourine in hand, you’ll know what I mean!

Now, it might be preview week, but it is also Saturday, so that means it is challenge time!
