“I’d take you to the garden of eden,” the old man said. Professor Jones was skeptical, but followed him deep inside the forest anyway.
“See the tree over there? It was the tree of good and evil.”
The professor looked at the tree and remembered how Adam and Eve were forced out of the garden for eating the forbidden fruit.
“Abandoned and neglected,” the old man sighed, “the garden was reclaimed by the surrounding forest. No trace of it was ever found again.”
“Now, Professor, if you would please hand me your wallet and camera if you want to live.”

Great premise and a good scam. I was confused though about who says the last line. Because it’s on a new line, that implies that it’s the visitor, but I think you mean it to be the old man? I think it might work better if the last line continues directly after ‘ever found again’. Unless I’ve got it completely wrong, which is very possible!
