"Curiouser & Curiouser"...

"Waking up this March Sunday Morning was much Curiouser than most March Sunday Mornings"... "WHY you ask"???
"There was a quite Curiously loud Tea Party Breakfast taking place"!!! Dear Miss Alice was created for me by artist Maryse Nicole...
"Mr Hatter was asked to Leave at once when I saw my table settings"... We all KNOW his "Reputation" with teacups "SO" after  spying  my table had been set with MANY irreplaceable delicate  gifts from family and friends... His behavior had to be moved to the snowy gazebo outside in my garden! He was also accompanied by a flask of tea with an "Unbreakable Cup"!!!
These beautiful plates and bowls are "Vintage Garden" by "Ambiance Collections"... My Hubby never says much about all my dishes "BUT" whenever I use these he picks them up... examines them ever so carefully and claims them as his favorite!
Do you see lil' Dormouse hiding between the mushrooms??? He is SO Frightened that Mr Hatter will be STUFFING him into the teapot soon...BUT I have assured him that "Mr H" has been directed to the gazebo AND when I last peeked out at him he was concentrating ALL his energy into Building a Giant Snow Gryphon...
My White Rabbit Teapot was a gift from one of my Dearest Friends Carolyn...
"Numerous Timepieces seem to always follow Mr W. Rabbit around wherever he travels"...
Carolyn had met Mr Cardew and had him sign this special teapot "Just for Me"!!! See my name there with his signature all in "Gold"??? "Love you Carolyn for all these sweet memories of you"...
And here's the book! It's a very old version of "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland"... There are 42 incredible illustrations by John Tenniel(1820-1914) in this book...
The card on Hatter's hat reads 10/6..."In this style 10/6" refers to 10 shillings & 6 pence(or a half guinea). This would have been the price of the hat in pre-decimalized British money... The figure actually gives a clue to the Hatter's Trade...
My "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" ...
The teacups are Royal Daulton "Spring"...
This is the "March Hare"... Poor little Dormouse looks ever so worried that he will stuff him in that teapot... WELL Mr Hare, "One wrong move and you're Out with the Hatter for Snow Sculpting"...
"Stop That Right Now"!!!
Don't worry, you have plenty of time...AND I think I smell "Carrot Cake" in the oven...
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (commonly shortened to Alice in Wonderland) is an 1865 novel written by English author Charles Lutwidge Dodgson under the pseudonym Lewis Carroll.

Hi Donna,
what a fun was your Wonderland party. You have so many "wonder"-ful items to create a real setting for such an event. This teapot is a true treasure and it was so lovely from your dear friend to get it for you. I don't like Mr. Hatter and think, its o.k. to bring him in the cold gazebo but please bring him a cup of hot tea, also.
Best greetings,
Johanna

Hi Donna,

I just love your tea party table. Little Miss Alice is a treasure indeed! The table is just full of special unique pieces. I'm a clock lover so I enjoyed seeing your clocks. Also love old books. I have a collection of children's classics that is about 40 or 50 years old, and it has the most beautiful illustrations. Colored book plates I think they're called. Anyway, they are very special to me. Thanks for sharing your very charming table!

Hi Donna, I'm glad you banished the Mad Hatter to the garden--he always terrified me when I was a child! Did you know that New Canaan was a big hat making center long ago? I always wonder about how many chemicals remain in our soil from that industry! Remind the W Rabbit to turn all his clocks ahead this weekend :) I hope you aren't flooded up there! Visit when you have a chance and have a nice weekend--the sun is supposed to shine!!! Linda
