Fat Tuesday Dinner

Last night, my oldest grandson who is home from college for spring break came to dinner and brought his girlfriend. Goody. An excuse to set the table since I have been so lax in that department lately.

I also wanted an excuse to put out my newest find: a rooster water pitcher. I found it at Dillard's marked 70% off.

I did not remember that it was Fat Tuesday, so I had to dig around in some things the grandkids had here and found some beads. I used them on the candles.

I mixed the Blue Willow with the blue floral plates from Home Goods. I have 4 of each, so when the 5th person showed up, I used the floral salad plate and the Blue Willow dinner plate. Love the blues.

Clever idea, wrapping the beads around the candles. My house is still a disaster from the DR redo, so new tablescape this week. I reposted a MG table from a couple of years ago on FB. I love the way the Calico combines with the Blue Willow. I am going to have to steal that idea!
