Inspirational Christian Story: “I Thought You Might Be My Angel”

A few years ago, I was on a flight to a training event and was seated beside a beautiful young woman.

We greeted each other and then proceeded to occupy ourselves with our respective books.

What happened later in the flight when I started a conversation, surprised me.

Here is my inspirational Christian story for you today:

You never know when God might use you to speak His love to someone He puts in your path.

After all, there are lots of ways to communicate love.

The person you share with might even think you are their personal angel sent by God.

And you know what?

You just might be that!

II Timothy 4:2a says: “Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season.”

Wherever God has place us is where we are to reflect His glory . . . even on an airplane!

Thanks Amy for sharing. We are all ambassadors for Christ and need to remember to share the gospel whenever, wherever we are. We may not know the outcome of our sharing but we pray that they be saved.

What opportunities we often miss to share Jesus. And when we do not share, imagine, we could have been with “angels unaware”. Thank you for sharing!

While we may think we know what we are doing or will be doing, he has a plan for each and every one of us, we just have to be open to the different possibilities.

Thank you Amy for sharing your precious encounter. You were alert to the opportunity placed before you and I believe it was God-led. This is important to be reminded of, because we really are where God wants us to be, which means divine appointments. We should always be ready to encourage and share what God has done in our lives. Thanks for sharing. – Amy

This is such a great reminder for each of us to remember that we are given awesome opportunities to connect and engage people in conversations about God in a non-preachy, judgmental, or forceful manner.

What a beautiful story! I think of the verse about angels unaware when we see homeless or those downcast… but we can really be encouragers to anyone in our path!

Love this story, Amy! I have to remember when the Holy Spirit is prompting me to put down what I’m doing and communicate with the person. I wonder how many times I’ve ignored His promptings!

Really loved this post Amy. God really can use us to touch the lives of those around us.

Last Sunday, our pastor shared something that stuck with me. “God wants to manifest Himself and His kingdom in a practical manner (through physical actions and relationships) on earth. We must be careful how we relate with others because God wants to manifest His kingdom through our interactions.”

That girl experienced God and His kingdom through you.

Also, about your question on my website – not Ghanaian. Kenyan. But my mum lived and worked in Ghana for 7 years so I juggled both and Accra feels like my 2nd home 🙂

So glad you took in wee ones from Ghana into your family.

What do you miss most about it?

Didn’t like the sweaty sticky feeling the humidity came with but the warmth I still miss 🙂
