Happy Birthday, My Son…..Lego Style…..
Nine years old. How did this happen?? I guess that’s a question all of us mama’s ask ourselves at one point or another…..
“What kind of party do you want this year?” Asks me.
“I think I want a………Lego party.” Says he.
So here I go with my frugal self off to research “how to make some really stellar Lego cupcakes…..”
Here are the first ones I came across……Cute right??
Nourishing Words, Beautiful Food had these, HERE….
Yeah. Only one problem……Umm……I can’t do that.
(continue search:)
Wowzer!! These are amazing!!
Found these amazing little guys…HERE
Umm……yeah……another problem……. can’t do that either.
Like, never….in a million years never. 🙂
Okay, what about these……cupcake toppers!! I can do that!!
See the Etsy Posting HERE…
Oh. They cost money.
Nevermind.
Hey, wait a second! Surely I can make some semblance of a Lego cupcake topper myself with my handy-dandy photo software!!
Woo Hoo! Good enough for me!!
I printed off a sheet, cut them out, slapped a toothpick on the back of them with some tape, and whalla!!!
Lego cupcake toppers.
Only cost me the ink from my printer.
(Well, and a piece of cardstock and some toothpicks. But that doesn’t count, right?) 🙂
When my son walked up and saw me cutting these out…..his eyes got really big.
Then he said, “Mom, what does ‘Have a Lego Birthday’ mean?”
“I don’t know,” I said. I just made it up.
About 30 seconds later he said, “Mom?”
“Yes”…
“I love you.”
“I love you too, bud.”
And oh, how I do.
So here’s what the sheet looked like that I printed out. Feel free to right click, and print it off for yourself……no charge, my sister!!
Be careful, this sheet says, “Happy Birthday, TUCKER!”
And in the unfortunate case that your son’s name isn’t “Tucker”…..
No worries.
I made up a new sheet just for you. (Without the names on them!) 🙂
Enjoy, my frugal friend.
(And enjoy that precious little boy/about to turn young man.)
Lord, may they grow to be faithful servants for YOU!!

I’m so with you! William just turned 9 in January. It’s so wierd. I’m not sure I can handle double digits next year! LOL
Thank you for the printable. . . Jacob will be 8 in about 3 weeks and will LOVE these toppers for his birthday. Star Wars & Lego are his passion.
These are awesome! Thank you so much for sharing! I’ve seen other people out there create cupcake toppers like this-what software do you use? Is it very userfriendly?
Thanks again!
I use a discontinued software called Microsoft Digital Image Suite 2006, but one similar to it would probably be Adobe Photoshop “Elements” (around $79 I think)!
VERY cool! I did something similar for Mickey Mouse cupcakes this year and a printable (that I didn’t make). You are sooo creative!
Woot! What a creative and fun idea! Now that is something I can handle!
Love your lego printables!! My 8 year old has had 2 Lego parties and I’m guessing his little brother will be following in his footsteps, so I might just be using these in the future. THANKS!!!
Thank you for all this. How do I make the printable bigger? I am not very computer literate.
Thanks!!

Thank you so much! I have a 7 year old lego party this week, and these are just darling. I appreciate you sharing your talent with me!
Thank you for the printable!
