Ancient themes as paranormal, mystery, and fantasy are enchanting. But English portrayals in films and literature, I perceived as dry. Their historical fiction made me think of William Shakespeare, whose style and stories were too wordy and war-oriented. Thus I had not read historical fiction until now.
I love what I have read and have become a Kate Kingbury fan especially! There are many more authors at home awaiting my sampling and my anticipation has increased. For my first foray, I chose ‘Victorian’ level: 5 books and close this theme smashingly. Please enjoy my original post. https://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2013/01/21/guilty-country-historic/
