Second post Saturday!!!

Some challenges you just gotta enter, don't you find? One of my usual "must enters" is the one over at Simply Less Is More - this week their challenge is "WHITE CHRISTMAS" and stipulated White on White!! Always tricky but, when done right, can be stunning.

Materials used:

• 14½cm square white, 300 gsm, scallop edged card and matching sized envelope
• Doily from Michaels
• Inkadinkado image and sentiment stamped using Memento tuxedo black
• Marvy le plume pens used to add just a hint of colour to the robin and scarf
• Sparkle mod podge applied to the "lace" part of the doily, using my fingers!

There are a couple of AUTUMN or FALL challenges on the go right now, one is over at Addicted to CAS, there also one on CB2½ (set by Lilian this month) and there's HARVEST over on the CASology blog

Materials used:

• C5 white card (from Michaels) and matching sized envelope
• Chocolate brown and Kraft card for matting
• A piece of patterned card (I was NEVER going to use) from a stack, used to cut a mask as my post its weren't as sticky as they ought to be. If you look at my last masking card you will see that some ink "snuck" under the edges.
• Distress Inks: scattered straw, fired brick - applied with a Tim Holtz blending tool and a foam pad
• Inkadinkado wheat ears stamped using Versafine onyx black ink
• TPC Studio sentiment stamped using Versafine vintage sepia ink

As has become the norm, this design was carried across the insert and envelope

• ATC blank
• White card offcut approx. ATC size
• Hampton Arts sequin waste image stamped using Versafine vintage sepia ink
• Inkadinkado meadow grasses and Hero Arts sentiment stamped using Versafine onyx black
• Hero Arts scribble image stamped numerous times using Color box chalk ink in dark peony

 

 

 

Materials used:

• ATC blank
• White card off cut approximately ATC size
• Kaisercraft vintage fence image stamped using Versamark ink before applying permanent red pan pastel
• Sparkle 'n Sprinkle pine bought image stamped twice using Versafine onyx black
• Fiskars sentiment stamped using Versafine onyx black ink
• Quickie glue pen used to outline the pine cone before sprinkling with gold Glamour Dust

• ATC blank (black)
• White card off cut approximately ATC size
• Penny Black circles image stamped using Versamark ink and pan pastel diarylide applied using a Sofft tool
• Hampton Arts numeral image stamped using Versamark ink and then pan pastel permanent red applied using a Sofft tool
• Hero Arts sentiment stamped using Versafine onyx black ink

Here's a picture of the wildlife who also thought they might like to dine at the Texas Roadhouse last evening .... unfortunately the rules are: no shoes, no shirt = no service!!!
