Squawk! Squawk! Squawk!
Charles will you stop with the squawks.
Squawk! Squaaaaaaawwwwwk!
Charles you are being childish now.
Squawrrrrrrrk!
I’m not listening to another squawk. I’ve told you a hundred times in this flock I’m top gull and I get first pickings of the tadpoles. Squawk all you like, I’m not listening.
Squawk, squawk, squawk.
Will you stop looking at me like that? I’ve worked hard to be the top of the pecking order. You are not helping me maintain my position.
Squawk.
That does it, go sleep in the reeds. I don’t care if it gives you beak rot.
ha! That made me laugh, especially the last line. Beak rot. 🙂
Thank you Jackie, I am pleased you have enjoyed my latest ‘literary’ effort.
Beak rot – chortle! A smile-raiser, indeed!
Thank you Freya, it is Saturday morning here and my mind was feeling rather frivolous.
And I’m just winding down, reading a few bits and bobs before going to sleep! Have a frivolous weekend 🙂
I full intend to…and its a long one, but back to work Tuesday, the holiday is over…sigh
Ha – somebirdy is being a brat!
You think? You don’t see the metaphor in all that, well maybe a squawkaphor?
Uh oh – did I miss something? Can I blame it on the gov shutdown here?
Perfectly understandable RoSy, I’d blame it for the roses not blooming as well, anything you can to cope with the crazy situation your folk are suffering at the present. Are you affected?
Squawk!!!!
Brilliant!! I have a prize for that astute comment!
SQUAWK
That’s obviously your joy at winning the highly valued and sought after squawk award, its in the mail as I speak.
Who knew seagulls had such egos? Very funny, beak rot! HA!
Thanks Honie, I appreciate your comment and yes, they are very egotistical.
Humorous and fun to read. Not to follow the crowd, but beak rot is very funny.
Thank you for your comment I am pleased you found it a humourous read. And yes, as terrible as it might be, beak rot is a funny thing..
Not if you’re a bird. 😉 As a human reader, it did make me chortle.
Well yes to a bird I would say it is somewhat disconcerting….most probably fatal.
Indeed. The bird would not read this the same way. 😉
Dear Summerstommy,
Anja said it all and best.
Aloha,
Doug
Yes Doug, she is very astute with her comments.
🙂 The astutest
Dear Summer,
Birds of a feather squawk together.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Oh beautifully said Rochelle.Thank you for your comment.
Oh, that upstart Charles! Maybe sleeping in the reeds will help him keep it down. It’s hard for a gull to think with all that squawking!
Thanks Zooky, yes all that squawking must give him a headache.
Hard to follow all those comments so I’ll just say “ditto” to all. 🙂 Sorry your holiday’s about to end, but enjoy the last days of it!
janet
Thanks Janet all good things come to an end.
I’m glad it was a good thing!
Beak rot, ha! Good one. I imagine there is a real pecking order to the birds, and power struggles! Personally, I think they’re unpredictable and I don’t like to get too close. Nice job.
Thanks Amy, I’m with you, I don’t like getting close either, not that they will let you….
Very funny – squawk and flies away ….
Thank you RM, my sentiment exactly.
