Pro Brownies are a decadent, to die for treat. Three layers, with crushed Oreo Cookies sandwiched in between a chocolate chip cookie layer, and topped with your favorite brownie mix. For visual learners, here is a pictorial how to, followed by the actual directions.
Ingredients:
-
Pre Made Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
- Package of Oreos
- Box of Brownie Mix
The first step is to make your brownies up. You can follow the recipe on the back of the box, or you can kick it up a notch. And why not? This is a decadent treat. To kick that box brownie up add 1 extra egg, replace the oil with melted butter, and replace the water with milk (I used Vanilla Almond Milk, just because that’s what we keep around the house).
Once the brownies are mixed up, just use a food processer to crush the Oreos. You want this to be a fine powder, any large chunks will be hard in the finished product.
Once all the prep work is done, take the cookie dough and press it into the bottom of an ungreased 9 X 13 pan, layer the Oreo cookies on top, and then pour the brownie mix over the top. Spread the brownies out, making sure not to mix the crushed cookies into the batter. You want three distinct layers.
Bake according to the directions on the back of the brownie mix. If baked at too high of a temperature, the edges can get hard. Using a tooth pick, check for doneness. If the toothpick comes out covered in batter, cook for longer. It took me about 45 minutes at 350 degrees to finish mine, but you want to start checking every 5 minutes after 30. You want to remove them from the oven when the tooth pick comes out clean, or just slightly before. Like I said, this is a treat you do not want overcooked.
Allow to cool to room temp and cut. You can eat it right out of the fridge or reheat in the microwave. But you really want to top it with powdered sugar and Cool Whip.
Hope you enjoy!

Not five minutes ago I was telling my husband “I would sell my left leg for a bit of chocolate right now.” This looks oh so delicious and quite easy. I’ll give it a go! Thank you for sharing as I am a visual learner. 🙂
