It was the wrong meeting, the prayer strange:
god
save me from the things I cannot stand
for I am the best penguin
for ever and ever
amen.
They talked through the hour about the same thing: what’s cheese for? Men who had been running from cheese their whole lives, fatally drawn to it until they had found the halls. He was glad to get out of there.
He found himself in a park with three brightly-coloured doors near a tree. A girl sat astride a branch.
Which one do you want? she said. Cheddar, Danish blue or red Leicester?
Friday Fictioneers is a weekly photo-prompt flash fiction challenge, curated by the wonderful Rochelle Wishoff-Fields, and open to anybody. Full details here.

amen.
Thing of beauty, that!
Dear Ted,

Shalom,
Rochelle
Dear Ted,
“Hi Radio”, Right?
Aloha,
Doug
You definitely get the prize for the most surreal and completely crazed take on the prompt. I loved this and the penguin, too.
