Vintage Book Re-do
My new favorite hobby is altering vintage books I find for a few dollars at my local thrift store. This one I made for my son to enjoy last week when he came down with the flu. It is a book from the 50's with stories for young men and women. He got a kick out of the copyright date!
I even made a matching bookmark, pictured above.
Nothing is more encouraging than an inviting bookcover! The original cover definitely lacked appeal!

Pretty cute! Are you altering the inside of the book, as well, or just the cover. That's a good idea for books that still have a good story line.
ReplyDeleteI have that book. It came in a series. I have the series. I 'inherited' them from a teacher friend. The sit on my shelf waiting to be read or altered or moved.
