FRIDAY FICTIONEERS: EVERY FRIDAY AUTHORS FROM AROUND THE WORLD GATHER TO SHARE THEIR 100-WORDS BASED ON THE PHOTO PROMPT HOSTED BY ROCHELLE WISOFF, OFFERING CONSTRUCTIVE CRIT AND ENCOURAGEMENT TO EACH OTHER. READERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO COMMENT AS WELL. HERE’S MY CONTRIBUTION…

Each nicknack naps peacefully
While I type ’til twilight fades softly
When the clock chiming cloves the eve
The dancing doves delight in my fantasy
Shifting from the shadowed shelves to the floor
The pocket-sized peer in for a private telling
Of my latest lovers’ lore gone wrong
Offering only homage to each twist
That pushes and pulls apart the lovers
For them to face their fears alone,
To fight foe and fall in love again-
Learning to love the length of time
And as morning mist moves up to the house
My wee readers return to their resting place
—100 words—
Excellent and very impressive piece of work.
🙂
What a cool idea — I like that these assorted knick-knacks drop down and read during the night. It’s an intriguing image, and I wonder if the reading leads to them having lots of conversations about it.
Lovely!
Very nice.
