Living With an OCD Mom – Friday Fictioneers – 6 Sept

My Friday Fictioneers response came immediately. I hope you enjoy. Thanks to Rochelle for hosting and for the picture this time.

Fiction (100 words)

“I don’t believe you!”

“Take the picture,” Cindy said.

Callie held her iPhone up and snapped a picture of the shelf full of knick knacks.

“Now move some stuff around, however much you want.”

Callie did so, shuffling items for nearly five minutes. Then the girls snuck around the corner to wait.

Both were amazed at how swiftly Cindy’s mother rearranged everything on her next trip through the room. She was like a machine.

After she moved on they returned to the shelf and Callie retrieved the photo. Everything was exactly where it started.

“You’re right, she is definitely OCD!”

I want to share another opportunity for those of you who love writing flash fiction. Red Dyer and Redmund Productions offer a quarterly publication that gathers 250 flash fiction stories according to a specific theme and set of words during a thirteen week time period. Right now is the fall session and several words are already in play. There is still over a month to go with this, so hop on over and try your hand: http://mommasmoneymatters.com/flash-fiction/
